From profile to first day

How Flor works.

Flor is a job marketplace, not a recruiter network. Here's what happens, step by step, from creating a profile to starting a new role.

Step 01

Build a verified profile

Sign up with your work email and we'll verify your nursing license through Nursys, the official multi-state board of nursing system. You'll fill out your specialty (Med Surg, ICU, behavioral health, primary care, and so on), your care setting preferences (acute hospital, FQHC, PACE program, community health), your schedule (full-time days, nights, per diem, three twelves), and your location range. The whole thing takes about ten minutes. Once your license is verified, your profile becomes visible to employers.

Step 02

Browse real jobs

Every listing on Flor shows the actual pay range (not “competitive”), the actual schedule (not “flexible”), and the actual caseload or patient panel where the employer has confirmed it. We don't scrape postings from Indeed or republish jobs from job-board aggregators. If it's on Flor, the employer that's actually hiring posted it. The job board has filters for state, specialty, schedule type, employment type, license required, and PSLF eligibility, plus a pay-floor filter so you only see roles in your target band.

Step 03

Apply directly

When you apply on Flor, your application goes straight to the hiring manager at the facility. Not a third-party recruiter. Not a sourcing pool. The hiring manager sees your Nursys-verified license, your specialty, your schedule preferences, and whatever you wrote in your cover note. They can message you back through the platform. The full conversation lives in your dashboard, so you can track who's responded, who hasn't, and where each application stands.

Step 04

Interview prep

Once you're on Flor, you get free Interview Intel for each employer you're applying to: what shift the unit runs, what charting system they're on, what the typical onboarding timeline looks like, and what nurses who have worked there say about the floor. It's the prep we wish we'd had walking into our own interviews.

Step 05

PSLF eligibility check

Every job tagged for Public Service Loan Forgiveness eligibility is filterable as a single click. If you're carrying federal student loans and want forgiveness to be part of the calculation, you can build your search around it. Each role's detail page also explains why it qualifies — FQHC, 501(c)(3) nonprofit, government health system — so you're not guessing.

Everything in one place

New listings, application updates, messages from hiring managers, saved searches: all in your dashboard. We email you when something needs your attention. We don't send “we have new jobs!” weekly digests for jobs you didn't ask about.

Fit Score

Underneath the job list, we run a Fit Score for every role against your profile. Specialty match, care setting match, availability overlap, location match, PSLF eligibility, EHR familiarity. The score is a 0-to-100 directional number, not a verdict. Use it as a sort, ignore it if you'd rather. It's not gating who can apply to what.

None of this is magic. It's a job board built by people who would have wanted one. The work happens in the conversations between you and the hiring manager. We just made the part before that less of a fight.
